Not What I Expected
Probably not worth all of the money spent to see the show in D.C., but worth it to see them if you've never seen Kristin Key? 100%. I was REALLY excited to see Pop Evil and Theory of a Deadman going into the show because I'd never seen them before. Pop Evil was surprisingly really, really good! To my delight, this was probably the best performance I've ever seen from them. Way better than expected. I feel like they relied on the music too much, not sure if it was to cover up weak singing or if it was just bad sound management. Theory of a Deadman...not so much. Either way, they were pretty disappointing. This was the 5th or 6th time I was seeing Kristin Key, so I figured I knew what to expect from them. No, they don't do a lot of talking to the crowd, but that's not what I paid for. I paid to see them rock out, and they did just that.
